LGBT

I was going to volunteer my help concerning to help combat hate crime in Camden giving out leaflets, listening etc.I had a meeting with a person who was organising this in a cafe, and I thought things were going o.k ,though the person said they would get back to me but they never did, and during this meeting another Transsexual who was also organising Camden LGBT was meeting this person in the cafe and instead of coming over they totaly ignored us and went downstairs. So I don,t know what I,ve done wrong. I,ve also offered to help with things before, giving my phone number etc and they haven,t got back to me.
You would think that a group that is designed to help people would be more helpful, I,ve found even in these groups they have there own cliques and ingroups and if you don,t fit in they exclude you.
Beside that I went to the Vauxhall car boat Art fair in Brick lane and the Artist Gavin Turk was really nice towards me and very down to earth and someone like that, seemed very genuine he did not seem prejudice or discrimanatory, also there was another Artist Brenden Quick who was also kind, genuine and nice. Tracey Emin was also there I dont really like her she seemed o.k though it was the people who were around her who seemed to make out she was something special a little sychophantic sorry I can,t spell.
It just shows the people who we think we don,t fit in with or dislike us can be o.k and less predjudiced.

"The people who were around her who seemed to make out she was something special a little sychophantic sorry I can't spell."

Yes, one of those words that that, unless you're a journalist, it's difficult to come up with the spelling out of the top of your head. My spellcheck gives sycophantic as the preferred option.

But your version is a much better interpretation of the hangers-on and follower's syndrome.

Put a P in front to get Psycho-Fanatic and it describes the state of mind that would define someone who considers an unmade bed to be "Great Art" and 'a worthy winner' of a major Prize.

The state of mind/ego that requires a "Celeb" to have 'Their People to talk to Your People about arranging Doing Lunch' and their need to have Bodyguards to protect them from Paps is rather psychopathic.

Or should that be psycho-pathetic.

I've been thinking some more about those psycho-fan followers of a celeb and the use of the word.
Far from their having any skills of their own, they hang on to someone who is supposed to have some sort of talent, so that they can basque (sic) in the reflected glory.

Sycophant isn't a word that people write that often.
Not a lot of people include it in their list of qualifications in job applications, do they?
Mind you, there are some who would have to include "Stalker" in their CVs under 'List your criminal convictions'!
