my thoughts on so called friends

So everyone why is it just when you thought you have a friend they back stab you and talk about you behind your back. They also steal men from you and are completely devious. I really hate it when you think you can trust someone and it turns out they are just liars and jerks. So everyone what do you think about that?

 Hi, we exchanged emails awhile back. Hope you have been well in spite of your troubles.

Here's my take. First of all, whoever the man was that left you for another woman.....consider yourself lucky to get rid of him. You found out his true colors before he did something worse to you. And believe me, it would have only gotten worse in the long run.

I was very lucky early in life to get severely "burned" by a woman I was dating right after college. I learned the hard way that someone you thought was your friend and lover could simultaneously stab you in the back and totally humiliate you. It was a very valuable lesson, and I'm glad it happened when it did. It instilled me with a sixth sense that has enabled me to see straight through the phony fronts that some people put on. My batting average is not perfect in weeding these people out of my life, but it's pretty good. As a result, I have a small number of life-long friends that I can trust with anything.

Real trust takes time, and actions speak far louder than words. The "friend" who betrayed you was not that at all. I'll bet if you think back real hard, the signs were there all along but you just missed them. Learn from that and move on.

 There is a HUGE difference between true friends and aqaintences...I know a lot of people, but only have a few people I consider friends...
