This Bridge
This is one of my first poems I ever wrote. I can't tell you the feeling I had as I was writing this. For the first time, I was not afraid to express my profound feelings on paper. I must confess, it is a liberating feeling to express your emotions and feelings. This is a picture of the actual Bridge. Still standing over 100 years old. Somethings are meant to last.

This Bridge

It stood the test of time
This red barn-like structure
Lying over a gentle stream
A symbol of strength and resilience

These massive wooden beams
Supported more then just its roof
Etched within its fabric
Echoes the words that mean so much

The trust and openness
A new beginning
I love you
This bridge connecting two hearts
