Bad Romance
Today
I found myself
on the banks
as the river-------------
flows along without me.

JOYFUL

LAUGHING

BUBBLING

SPLASHING

I did not get out of the water
I was pushed out; placed
and I'm there
in shock
wondering ----
just how in the FUCK!!!!
as I stand
in disbelief
in a daze
unable to figure --
just how it happened
I'm---- NOT HAPPY.
NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT AT ALL.
funny how that doesn't matter
to some -------------

I thought I existed
I guess not?!..

and then I wonder
why ---
why do I remain here
in this place
seeing the water moving on
flowing away
as if it originated
from my tears
kept company
only by one question
why.
why!!!
why!??
what did I do?
to DESERVE THIS?!
such an empty echo
accompanied
by deep breaths
'huh ('s ) and sighs. -
when words
ripple and riffle
and circle

in an empty cup
I look as NOTHING
falls to the ground
to see my feet
silently screaming
for them to move
they're in the dirt
now rooting
like a tree
growing
in solidarity
alone
strengthening
from the core
finding a ring or two
------of their own
(( HashTag SOLOGAMY!! ))
taking the nourishment needed
from these waters for growth
as limbs reach for the sun
for warmth; for LOVE
finding none.
finding none.
finding NONE
PATIENCE
strength will come
as sure as the Leaves ---
and oxygen.

This loss of breath
is only temporary.

I'm in the water again
Finding my own laughter
-----------with the trees.
