Is Onfido Legit?

I met a girl and she wants me to sign up for Onfido. Being new to actually making something happen, rather than looking, I don't want to be scammed. Can anyone help me out? Onfido says they are, so everything on the internet is true? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

 Why did she want you to sign up for Onfido? A selfie with your ID held out should work for verification if that's what she wanted.

Beware of the romance scammers. Before you get too invested with messages and talk about meeting up, get some kind of verification. Holding up a piece of paper with your user name, or theirs, is something the scammers can't usually do.

I think it she wanted a rob and no-show. I've been married for 26 years and this is the first time with trying to meet anyone. I admit it, I'm a newbie. Only thing left in my marriage is tax benefits. Any other tips would be great. And if you ever want a free dinner, my treat. I'm working at the Husky refinery and eating alone every night sucks. Just want some company. Or someone to play cribbage with.
